Eleganté (149) – Chanel Rouge Allure

Eleganté (149) – Chanel Rouge Allure - David Jones ($50.00)

This was a bit of an impulse purchase, but no regrets here. This lipstick is lovely, long lasting, pigmented and feels expensive. I must say the packaging is pretty nifty too, you just push the top and it springs up. The shade Eleganté is quite unique; it’s a purple burgundy colour with a hew of pink that’s is very flattering ~ the perfect shade for autumn.  If you are not a fan of the colour, I would still recommend checking out the other colours from the collection as the formula is perfect, not too drying for a semi-matte lipstick.

A Mecca Extravaganza

Every year Mecca Cosmetica and Mecca Maxima release a bunch of limited edition holiday products from their lines and me being me I went in store the second they were released. Something I had my eyes on for quite a while is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush palette ($76.00 au) and it didn’t disappoint. The quality and pigmentation is just as great as the originals, which is sometimes not always the case.
The trio contained:
·       Luminous Flush – Soft pink shade
·       Incandcent Electra – Soft peach shade (exclusive to palette)
·       Mood Exposure – A lovely plumy purple

The NARS Virtual Domination cheekpalette ($86.00 au) wasn’t something I was initially going to buy, but after swatching it in store I couldn’t leave it behind. Unlike last years ‘Guy Bourdin’ palette, this palette is gorgeously pigmented smooth and not chalky. The only thing I’m not too sure about is the bigger Laguna bronzer; another blush colour would have been nice.
·       Miss liberty – Champagne glittery highlight
·       Deep Throat – Pink with a touch of peach blush
·       Sex Fantasy – Light pink blush with a blue tone
·       Final Cut – Peach blush
·       Laguna - Bronzer

The NARS Digital World – Lip Pencil Coffret ($65.00 au) – NARS lipstick pencils are some of my all time favourite lipstick formulas. The Velvets long lasting (up to 8 hours) and the Satins are smooth lovely and moisturising.  So of course I had to grab this too.
·       Torres Del Paine – Peachy nude shade (Satin)
·       Descanso – Nude shade (Satin)
·       Yu – Hot Pink (Satin)
·       Iberico – Red with an orange tone (Velvet)
·       Cruella – Dark burgundy red – (Velvet)

I’m not usually a false lash girl, but a few weeks ago I decided to buy some individuals, the only issue was finding a good glue, I had used the stuff that came in the packet and found that the lashes would fall off after a few hours. I had heard about the DUO ($16.00 au) one for years, so I thought I would give it a go and it’s great. It dries quick and it last till I want to take the lashes off. Definitely recommend if you are looking for good lash glue, just don’t smell it.

And finally after leaving Mecca I decided to take a wonder through Myer, which really wasn’t a good idea after spending so much at Mecca. I stumbled across the Dior counter and I don’t know what led me towards the lipsticks but I ended up leaving with one ~ Diorific in ‘Ange Bleu’ (013) – Which is a bright red. Not really a colour I’m drawn too, but I tried it on and found it really flattering and brightened my face.

Let me know your thoughts on these products if you’ve tried them yourself, or of anything else you think I should check out.
